Arsenal are ready to make Gonzalo Higuain the club’s highest-paid player to ensure that they secure their prime summer transfer target and replace the goal scorer they have been missing since Robin van Persie’s departure. Considered more lethal than Falcao and Ronaldo, Higuain can demand wages of £125,000-a-week, putting him above current high earners Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott.

Currently under contract to Real Madrid, the striker could see himself signing up for a payday that’s equivalent to winning the jackpot at a top casino like http://www.spielsucht.org. A deal with the Argentina international’s club has yet to be finalised but Arsenal have been locked in talks with the club and a move looks eminent. In theory, Higuain has agreed to the terms of the move but the paperwork is still under negotiation as the Gunners are offering around £20m and Real Madrid are apparently holding out for £25.5m. The expected compromise looks set to be around the region of £22m and it’s clear that the player’s personal terms won’t pose any problems.

Arsene Wenger is keen to land the 25-year-old before his players return for pre-season on July 4th as not only will Higuain’s presence add encouragement to his squad, it will also allow for him to integrate fully with his team mates before the season begins.

Higuain can add a lot of weight to Arsenal and his goalscoring prowess is legendary.  He’s deadly in front of a goal and shoots with a precision that is seldom seen. After the departure of van Persie, the Gunners have struggled to maintain a high scoring rate and with Higuain’s reputation they may be able to regain their confidence.

Higuain’s main strength is his finishing and it has been ever since he burst onto the scene at just 18 years old, playing for the River Plate team. He broke into the starting XI of one of South America’s biggest clubs at a tender age and his eye for the goal has been obvious ever since. He will be a valuable addition to the Gunners and it’s arguable that Arsenal will never experience a better chance of getting back into the title picture than they will if they have Higuain on their side.
